Keeping my 18K Brazilian Gold-Plated Jewelry Sparkling - Rosetta Riwari

Keeping my 18K Brazilian Gold-Plated Jewelry Sparkling

I was having a good time dancing to old vibes at the mall, and I jiggled more than planned. Later, I noticed sweat dripping from my head down to my crop top, with my neck with the most gulk of water. I wear an 18K Brazilian gold plate, so that's no problem. I also have a way of caring for my pieces of jewelry to retain the shine. Here are the simple steps in less than five minutes, you can do it too.

Prep time: I grab a clean white bowl, half filled with lukewarm water, just enough to cover my necklace, and add a bit of liquid dish soap, but not too soapy.

Soak it Up: I drop the necklace in the lukewarm water for a minute or two, max five minutes.

Gentle Scrub: It's time to get it clean! I rub the necklace in between my palms like washing my hands. I use my old or soft toothbrush for those hard-to-reach spots, nothing harsh. I'm aiming at sparkling clean, not a scratched piece.

Rinse and Repeat the Rinse: Once the necklace is gleaming, I rinse under clean water and partly in the bowl, but this time half filled with clean water.

Drying Up: Finally, pat it dry gently with a paper towel or a soft jewelry cloth. I lay it flat on a clean surface but preferably a dry paper towel on a flat surface for a quick air-dry. Voila, my charming 18K Brazilian gold-plated necklace, is back in its form.

See, your 18K Brazilian jewelry can be sparkling after being in sweats with no hassle. With these simple steps, your jewelry pieces will tell your stories wherever your adventures take you.
